The Califon School District is a community public school district that serves students in Kindergarten through eighth grade from Califon, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States.
Public school students in grades 9 through 12 are served by the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District. Voorhees High School serves students from Califon Borough, Glen Gardner Borough, Hampton Borough, High Bridge Borough, Lebanon Township and Tewksbury Township.[3]
As of the 2008-09 school year, the district's one school had an enrollment of 150 students and 15.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.6.[1]
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[4]
